hot damn! I believe it. Always room for more Voigtlanders. Probably another $379?

i posted this on the 125mm rumours thread too.
this would be an interesting adversary to the DA21. it is rather difficult to manual focus wides on APS-C viewfinders, but it would probably be best to zone focus for these types of lenses anyways.

I'm going to talk to Camera Quest about this, apparently he is allowing people to reserve one from the first shipment for $100.. But as yet he can't say what the price will be, so he will refund the reserve deposit if you don't like the price..

I find f3.5 a little slow.

But ok, I am happy that they continue this series.

Iíve been extremely impressed with what Iíve seen from the APO 125 and 180 lenses. But as they are overlapping with other lenses Iíve been interested in, I canít really justify them.
I had thought about the Zeiss Distagon 18mm f/3.5, but would very much like to try out Voigtlšnder, so this new 20 mm could be very interesting for me.

Here was the DPr thread on it :
New Voigtlander 20/3.5 for Pentax and Nikon: Pentax SLR Talk Forum: Digital Photography Review

The price is mentioned to be around : ď39.000 Yen ... about 330 Euro.Ē

More info should be provided at PMA.

The DA 21 limited is faster, and weighs less. But this new 20 mm will also be for film format.

That lens from voigtlander is legendary. I am all up for it. Great lens in deed. It is going to be a great lens to own and hopefully use

That's quite nice to know. I'm always happy to see any extra options for Pentax.

It is slow for a prime lens in general, but not for a small 20mm - the DA 21 is 3.2, and my M 20 is f/4 - and let me tell you, if this Skopar even matches the M 20 f/4, it's a truly exciting lens.

At this FL, more speed means more size, quickly.

If I didn't have my M 20 I probably wouldn't hesitate to pre-order.

Agree. Of course.
I have the Sigma 20/1.8.

So, the Voigtlšnder might be a good complement to that.
I will certainly buy one.
