Pentacon 50 1.8 first test shots...

Ok as promised in the "I blame Jsherman and Hinman' thread... here are some of the 1st test shots with the pentacon 50mm 1.8.

The weather has not been cooperating... We need rain really bad so I am not really complaining, but my lens testing time has been a bit cloudy and wet...

sorry that the same subjects keep coming up in my test shots of late, but here are only so many things I can shoot in the rain

Wide open it is a touch soft... but might be nice for in close portraits...

Gus, how many more weardos do you have out there ?

I have two different versions of the Pentacon 50mm 1.8, a zebra, and a black one. Posted a first sample of it in the M42 thread last week. I like your portraits with this lens!

Rense, is there a different 'look' to the zebra version?

Makes me feel nostalgic !
My first SLR was a Praktica with a Pentacon 50/1.8
Some 30 years ago !
It served me reasonably well.

Yes, they are different. Here they are depicted. From these, I have the second and the last one, although the zebra (2nd) not says "Meyer-Optic Görlitz Oreston", but "Pentacon Auto".
