What Does The SD Stand When Referring To A Lense?

In the "Cheap 200mm Zoom Comparison, FotoPete reviewed the Tokina SD 70-210 f4-5.6 and I was wondering what the SD stands for. Couldn't find it online or the forums and the curiosity is killing me. In the review, it seems as though the SD designation should deal with green and purple fringing. Thanks for any help.

mark definitions are here:Tokina

These are actually quite good general descriptions of modern lens and glass technology.

Also, Pentax lenses refer to this as "ED", or extra-low dispersion. Same thing, just different abbreviations.
