Sila's conclusions about this lens are the same as mine.

For the price the value is hard to beat.

Well i have nothing to compare with, only my 50mm and 105mm, but not another 85mm.........

But iŽam very happy, and have not really put it to real life action.... Will post images from the coming weekend...

Thanks Sila!
Great photos!
The one with the boy watching TV is cool.

How do you feel manual focussing the lens?

Thanks.....

Forgot to says that none of the images are pp..... Straight out of the K10D, jpg mode.

Its very good to focus with..... Its a bit hard to get the focus spot-on fully open, but its the person not the lens thats in fault.....

But the lens is only getting better.... getting more used to MF now... So iŽam extremely happy with the 85mm!!

Can only recommend to try it......

Oh i remember....

He was cold and i told him to put his hands in his pockets....

Then i began to walk.... looked back and saw the little gangster.... just stading there.

I took the pic, and he tolded me that he didŽt want to walk, i needed to carry him...... Was afraid to do anything else, so i carryed him home......

I got a copy last month from Samyang, and I think it is a great lens! Ok, sometimes MF is a bit hard (operator issue. ), but if I can nail the focus, its pretty amazing.

Some of my test shots..

Thanks Wieland. Thats was done by the FA* 85mm which i acquired recently. Was thinking of doing a FA* vs Samyang/Polar 85mm later on... when the weather is better here.
