A followup post: I got my lens today, just a few minutes ago. It arrived in perfect condition. This seller is selling used lenses so there's no box or paperwork. I would buy from him again. Thanks to monochrome for the tip. I am off to test it out!

Where were all you people when I needed you? Someone mentioned an eBay seller last week who was selling these lenses. So I innocently watched one until the last minute, and the price was still at $175. I figured it had to go above $200, so I put in a bid of $203.13 and won for $202.50. (Tip: bid just a bit higher than the even dollar amounts.) I thought people were paying close to $300 for these things.

Well, I won it, so it better be good. That puts me back up to five 55mm lenses, which means pressure to compare and sell. I thought I could depend on someone else to bid, but now I know.
Enjoy the lovely lens, my friend. That Cosina 55mm f/1.2 is one of a kind. And if you like close up and if your f/1.2 is 58mm, I bought a set of 62mm close up and a 58 to 62mm step-up ring.

Cosina 55mm f/1.2 Accessories

58mm lens hood from heavystar in ebay
combo with fitted 62mm lens cap
with lens hood always mounted
for about $10 bucks

A hoya +4 close up
sized 62mm, will fit lens hood
weird tunnel in between though

58mm to 62mm step up ring
also from heavystar for $3 bucks
allow direct mounting of close-up filter

The cosina is my go-to lens in the dark such as the Aquarium visit where the subject move around

With +4 close up with filter
mounted on top of lens hood

with +4 close up

Recommended lens for celebration
not a great shot wide open
but you get the idea
