Advice on lenses

Found these on craigslist for $70 OBO.

She said the lens on the k1000 is a Kiron 28/2

I ALREADY own:
JCPenny 135/2.8
Pentax-A 50/1.4
Pentax-M 50/2
Pentax-M 28/2.8

My question, seeing that I have those focal lengths already covered, is: another k1000 body, an off brand 2x TC, and an extra stop on my 28mm worth $70?

I don't really think so. Although, I'm not sure about the IQ of the Kiron or Star-D.

What would you offer in my situation?

I paid $9 for a vivitar 28mm F2.5 and $70 for an SMC Tak 35mm F2

The speed is worth something, I just don't know exactly what, I would guess 50-70 is not bad for an F2 35mm and Kiron are not that bad a company

The Kiron 28mm f2 is worth about that on its own. I would make sure that it has a snappy aperture first, because that's this lens's typical problem. Optically it's great. You ought to be able to sell the rest for $50 and your M28/2.8 for $50.

I think that $70 is a decent price for that combination of stuff in reasonable condition, but with that said the 28/2 is the only lens there that I would be interested in trying and I have equivalent lenses to everything you listed as already owning. If you don't want to try reselling the other equipment you might try offering $25 or so for the 28mm if it is in good mechanical condition and see what the response is.

I sold my Kiron 28mm f/2 for $60, not because it was no good, but because I didn't use it after getting a Kiron 24mm f/2.

If you find the TC is no good optically, remove the optics and make it an extension tube.

If you buy the Kiron and find that it has the problem with oil on aperture blades (very common), post back. The fix is relatively easy.
