The lens performed, well, just ok. The AF speed was the killer getting a 50% oof, the strange thing was the shots that I did get vs what it missed. In bad light and tricky movement ( mostly lateral ) it nailed every shot but irony was it would miss alot of supposed easy shots. I know I have to look them over and check more for motion blur but one thing it could not do was handle any movement coming towards me, while the 40mm limited nailed every shot I attempted with it. I am thinking this is not the ideal sporting lens, it's great for stage shows where subjects are moving latterly and the focal length proved ideal for the most part .
the first 2 are what the lens nailed, as I said the irony is that it handled the trickier shots easier, the easier dead give away shots like the last one it messed up!
Good news is that the K20D in general survived a tropical down pour easily, it was soaked with the 50-135 still shooting when many other photogs ran for cover.
