DA 16-50mm spooke me not!

When first out I did not buy this lens to complete my 50-135mm because of all the QC problems reported. Lately I have seen a lot of posts about how this lens was indeed good. Because I like to go out with two bodies with one lens on each and no swapping needed - this lens was the logical choice.

So with trembling hands, I pressed the buy button and waited for my lens to arrive.

Well very limited test shows that it is a good one centered and with no specific softness wide open. This morning it is out to test in the open.

As LBA always strike twice, I also purchased the 31mm limited out of fear that these will be discontinued. I should receive it next week.

I am now going to put on eBay under lbenac13 several like new lenses to help cover the cost of the purchase:
*DA 12-24mm
*DA 21mm Ltd
*DA 35mm Ltd
*Sigma EX DG 24-60mm F2.8

I am of the mind of keeping the 12-24 or the 21mm but I look at my credit line and I look at my wife;s face and I find the resolve to sell these too....
Cheers,

Luc

In another forum it is traditional to post your first photos taken with a brand new lens. Is it the case here?

Cheers.

Luc

21mm sample shots

Ok I just had a quick look through my web page for shots taken with the 21mm.

I have to say that this lens does wonder with close range shots just like landscape.

I am almost having second thoughts about selling it.
Maybe I could sell my car instead :-)

Cheers,

Luc.

Well I finally manage to put the lenses on eBay under lbenac13.
Except for the DA 21mm that a member of the forum is going to purchase from me locally.

Cheers,

Luc.

Because I am new to this forum and do not have any past history while I do in eBay.

Congradulation on the star zoom and your images are very nice in deed.

Please bear in mind that direct ebay advertising in the forum is not allowed except that you have listed the item in marketplace for a few days prior.

When you listed the item in the marketplace, you could remind the buyers of your credibility by referring to your ebay ID feedback.

Cheers

Thank you for the clarification.
I will do so next time I need to sell lenses (hopefully I don't have to and I can keep them all :-) ).
Before listing to eBay I made an arrangement with one of the forum member and sold him one of the lens - maybe this can count like a sale through the forum?

I also purchased a FA31mm which is fantastic - will post first images soon...

Cheers,

Luc.

Congrats on the lens(es)! Could you say something about how the 16-50mm compares to the 35mm and the 31mm?
