I found this store on Ebay that has a few Rare lenses and a Pentax LX-2000 Limited camera and was wondering if these prices were par.

They're not bargains. There's an A* 85 1.4 for sale in the marketplace right now for $800, I think, although it has some marks on the barrel.

I don't think I'd pay $1700 for an A* 85 1.4 unless I was a professional portrait photographer.

These prices look insane to me.

That said, there's one lens there I'd buy if I could.

Whenever an eBayer adds the word "Rare" to his title, he feels obligated to increase the price 10 to 40 percent.

It is one the most over-used words on eBay.

The pricing in that link is "nostalgic" pricing from 2 years ago. Not unless you are a collector...

I could not agree anymore! It's very alarming to see dealers flood the market with products using the word "rare" to describe them, only to take some sorry ole chap for his scratch.
