Uhh The entire pentax line

While that's the latest dream in my head, right up there with winning the lotto, the truth is I have no idea what I want next but I'm thinking it's going to be a wide prime.

I have a Pentax 12-24 on backorder. When that arrives I should be done. Although the 12-24 focal-length overlaps a bit of what I have, it is rectangular whereas the fisheye is, well, fisheye. Was sort of looking for a replacement for the Sigma 70-300, but I doubt that I ever will find something with better image quality (not that it is spectacular, especially at the long end) that 1) will not require a tripod and 2) will not cost more than $1000.

I guess I'm not a "prime" man.

I am really happy with my line up right now. My only real wish is for pentax to release a high quality 18-200mm f/3.5-4.5 DA*

At the moment I have:
Pentax DA 21mm f/3.2
Pentax K 30mm f/2.8
Pentax DA 40mm f/2.8
Pentax KA 50mm f/1.7
Pentax DA 70mm f/2.8
Kiron 105mm f/2.8 Macro 1:1
Sigma 70-300 f/4-5.6 APO DG

I plan on an 85 and 400 prime in the near future....

Da 18-90/2.8

A lens that is only in my head unfortunately is a
DA 18-90/2.8
This would be my perfect lens for weddings, events etc. without the need for changing lenses.

Here is where I am today.
Primes
Pentax smc P-FA 20mm f2.8
Pentax smc P-M 28mm f3.5
Pentax smc P-FA 35mm f2.0
Pentax smc P-A 50mm f1.4
Pentax smc P-FA 50mm f1.4
Pentax smc P-FA 77mm f1.8
Pentax smc P-FA 135mm f2.8
Pentax smc P-M 200mm f4.0
Pentax smc P-A* 300mm f4.0
Pentax smc-F 1.7X AF Rear Converter

Zooms
Pentax smc P-DA 10-17mm Fish Eye f3.5–4.5
Tamron XR Di LD 28-75mm f2.8
Pentax smc P-FA 28-105mm f3.2–f4.5
Pentax smc P-A 35-105mm f3.5
Sigma EX APO 70-200mm f2.8

I've actually sold more lenses than I've bought lately. I may sell a couple more. My primary glass are the Tamron 28-75, and the Sigma 70-200.

The one hole I have is rectilinear WA. I'm thinking the DA12-24 may be my next purchase. I'm also thinking about the DA*60-250 to supplement the Sigma - only cause, as good as the Tamron and Sigma are, it bothers me that neither of my primary lenses are Pentax glass (purely an emotional response of course).

Ahoy Asad,

It's a quite nice thread you have started here. A lot of food for thoughts and reflections. It seems to me as many have a lot of lenses that I, short of imagination, don't understand when they see any use. I have always been a bit narrowminded

What I need is a semi-fish, a normal and a short tele:

For the DS I have the Zenitar, sold the FA35 and the A50/1.2, waiting for the DA35/x and the DA*55/1.4

For the 5D I have a Summilux 50/1.4, a Zuiko 24/2.8 and would like to buy a Zenitar. I also have an EF85/1.8 that I seldom use. All together this make one camera system too much and in both cases a wrong setup of lenses. That's only for the moment though.

To all this we can add a bunch of lenses that I really should get rid of. I need to unload the cupboard as well as my mind.

I use the 5D the most of the time, but I have some problems waving goodbye to the Pentax stuff.
