[Ask suggestion] betwen FA 50 f/2.8 with M 50 f/1.7

Dear Pentaxian,

I have a K10D. Now, I am planning to add my lens collection with one fixed lens. Rightnow, I am little bit confused between FA 50 f/2.8 macro (for more than 300 EUR) or M 50 f/1.7 (for less than 100 EUR). Which lens that I should go for?

Thanks all

FA50: auto focus, auto exposure, P-TTL flash, wireless flash (of course if the flash supports these modes).
M50: manual focus, manual exposure (may not even be accurate), no P-TTL flash, no wireless flash.

f/2.8: 1.5 stops slower than f/1.7.

macro: can focus down to 1:1 (image on sensor same size as real subject), as close as a few inches from the front element of the lens.
non macro: minimum focus distance is 0.45m, magnification is about 1:5.

Which lens you should go for? I don't know. If it were me, neither one. I'd go for an FA 50 f/1.7 (about US$ 100 used) or f/1.4 (about US$ 150 used) for general use, and a 100mm f/2.8 manual focusing macro lens (about US$ 150 - 300)

Simple answer is the FA 50mm f/2.8 Macro.
Stunningly sharp and able to focus as close as close as 0.195m (1:1 magnification) means great versatility to shoot up close and far away with AF as a bonus.

Sorry but the M 50mm f/1.7, A 50mm f/1.7, F 50mm f/1.7 or FA 50mm f/1.7 don't even come close except perhaps in having a larger maximum aperture.

The M's look prettier on the camera.

Thanks for the answer. I would love to go to FA 50 f/1.7, yet I can not find it on the internet or the country where I live (neither new or used one). Can u give me some stores that sell it online (used one is better for sure).

Thx
