Telesor Zoom Reverser

I purchased a used Telesor Zoom Reverser for $5. It has no instructions. Has anyone ever had experience with this or something similar?

I attached it to my K1000 with a T-mount adapter, and it appears to duplicate slides this way. I've also attached it to my K200d the same way, and can get a 3/4 cropped copy of the slide after a lo-o-o-ong exposure.

My Qs are: Why is it called a "Zoom Reverser"? Does it function somehow in reverse, so I can "unzoom" the slide image for my K200d? Is it supposed to fit on the end of a lens with some sort of adapters?

Anyone know? The internet does not seem to yeild much, if any, info on this. Any guidance would be much appreciated.
