Price guestimates of FA* and F* lenses and more...

Just curious; what do think the following would go for roughly these days in USD?

FA* 28-70 f2.8 - 8/8.5 out of 10 condition, optically perfect. With Pentax SMC 'cloudy' filter (mild warming) and original cloth case.

FA* 85 f1.4 - 9.5/10 condition, optically perfect, cloudy filter, original cloth case

FA* 80-200 F2.8 - 9.5/10 condition, OP, cloudy filter, cloth bag.

F* 300 f4.5 - 8.5/10 condition, optically perfect, cloudy filter, original cloth case

FA* 24 f2 - 9.5/10 condition, 1 minute (really, really small) mark on rear element that does not affect optical performance (being honest), cloudy filter, original cloth bag

1.7 tele converter - 9.5 out of 10 condition, OP.

DA 14mm - 9.5 condition, Optex 77mm skylight filter, OP.

All have lens and body caps.

Metz MZ40 II flash with Pentax module

Metz MZ40 III flash with Pentax and Metz 'digital' module, off-camera sync cable.

both are TTL or auto capable, but not fully compatible with latest digital cameras. Fantastic flash units, though.

Just curious if anybody has a guess - thinking of making a leap somewhere.

Thanks,
Cameron

FA*2870 : 900
FA*85: 1100
FA*80200: 1500
F*300: 800
FA*24: 500
1.7 TC: 300
DA14: 380

All in USD. Don't know about the flashes, but I think they won't sell much.

Those are all great lenses, you'd have hard time buying them back ...

Good luck.

Very interesting...Pentax Cloudy filters on all of them...me too. I have several FA* and FA Ltd. lenses, all with Cloudy filters...love the color cast with the Cloudy filter (not for portraits--exclusively outdoors). Never knew anybody else got caught up in the Cloudy filter thing. Use them on my 67 lenses too.

Kind of a darker pink than the Skylight filter but not the amber color of most 81A's. Recommended highly!

they are basically slightly darker UV filters, less dark than the mildest warming filter. Takes the blue out of shadows. I got 7 of them, all 67mm, brand new in boxes, about ten years ago for $5.00 each. Traded a couple for a 77mm one, stll have the rest. Beautiful filters.

Cheers,
Cameron

Thanks, and keep them coming...

Had a heart operation in August last year, and just can't carry the really heavy stuff anymore with a cracked sternum - far too painful. Will probably go for a k20D and some of the nice new 2.8 lenses - I MIGHT keep the 14, but have been lusting after the 12-24 zoom.

Or I might just dump EVERYTHING and go Canikopanoleicasony, depending how much Pentax pisses me off in the next little while. BTW- tried the new 200 f2.8 lens, and the 10-17 fisheye zoom on a KM thingy - beautiful lenses, and a lovel little camera, really well built.

Also, I bought the 18-55II and the 50-200 4.5 this year, and you know, for $139.00 Cdn or less, full price, they are both astonishing optics. If ONLY they were weather sealed, they'd be perfect. They are CERTAINLY light.

Thanks,
Cameron

You still have a couple 67mm Cloudy's in the box? I'd be interested in one or two if you want to quadruple your investment?
At present, I have 5-49mm, 2-58mm, 1-67mm, 2-77mm and 1-82mm bayonet for 67. Sold an 82mm bayonet last month...yes, fetish for Cloudy filters would be an accurate description.

Almost forgot the drop-ins for the big tele's, 2-43mm drop-ins also. I just love 'em!

Oh yeah, and a 67 bayonet for the drop-in on my M*400 for 67II.

Are you sure you have any Cloudy filters, thought I owned them all!
