What's This 'Blue Haze'?

I have been playing around with settings, while attempting to use the Calman Auto Tele Converter 2X For Pentax-K lens, that I had purchased from a pawn shop, a short while back. Some of you know that I had previous difficulty in getting anything to show, with its usage. Thanks to advice, from some of you, I am able, now, to get images.

However, I notice that there is a circular light blue haze in the center of the LCD, when viewing anything shot with this converter attached to my lens - and only when that converted is attached. I could see nothing on the converter's lens, which would account for such a happening - but have cleaned it anyway. Yet, the problem persists.

Any ideas?

That's flare. Most likely it is a reflection of the sensor itself off the back of the teleconverter, which is what 'digital coatings' are all about.

OK, good. At least I know, now, that it isn't a defect in the lens. I'll learn the necessary steps required for controlling such occurrences.

Thanks.
