Took a chance- If it's a mistake it's a cheap one...

I was trolling ebay again, looking for the cheap lenses.

I saw this one and looked a bit, and then took a chance on it.

I could not make out any numbers on the image, the mount is obscured, but I found a Ricoh manual online and it specifically mentioned a K-Mount. I understand theremay be some sort of pin tht needs to be removed, so I hope someone can help if that is true.

I hope that it is smilar to this one but a 28mm.

So, now (assuming I can use this one) I have a kit lens, the Kiron made Vivitar 70-150mm (still in transit) and a Tokina 28mm (just purchased).

Anyone know anything about this lens?

Be careful mounting it to a Pentax AF camera. Some Ricoh K-mount lenses have a pin on the mounting flange that drops into a hole in the Pentax AF mount when you attach the lens. That makes it very difficult to remove the lens without damage to the lens or camera. Go slow.

If that pin exists, from what I remember, you actually have to "physically" remove it from the lens... Try searching, there is a post somewhere on the forum with the image of what the pin looks like and how to remove it...

Found this step by step with images on how to remove it.

With shipping the cost was just over $15. I'm hoping it's an f2 or similar. Anyone know anything about these Ricoh lenses?
