M lens question - urgent

Hello,
I came across a rare opportunity - I can scoop a bunch of M lenses in a good condition.

Here is the offer:
20mm f4 $225
35 mm f2 175
85mm f2 175
135mm f3.5 60
200mm f4 60
or all of the above for $650.
I can also take 28/2 and 50/1.4 (don't know the asking price). Is $650 looks reasonable?

Thank you.

The prices are reasonable. Not cheap but ok.
I would recommend esp. the M28/2. It is small and optically very, very good.
Take it!

If you have the money, take them all and test them.
You can always sell them without significant loss.

Based on my eBay frenzy of mid-late 2008, those prices seem a bit high. But those lenses (unlike the US$) probably won't be worth much less in the future, so if you're comfortable with the money, go for it.

Some of those are slightly cheaper than what they sell for on KEH.com in EX condition, some are right on the money. I'd check KEH first before committing a bunch of money on individual lenses, but the package price definitely helps.

Of course, it also depends on how badly you want any of those specific lenses, but FWIW, only the 20/4 is hard to find. The others are virtually always at KEH, and there are also almost always several active auctions on Ebay for each of as well, so you don't need to lose sleep over letting the deal go, either.

The 28/2 is by far the most expensive of the lenses you've listed, and is also relatively hard to come by, but it too is available from KEH as often as not.

Those prices $CDN or USD? If Canadian, I think that's a good deal, but not a great package discount (only 45 bucks?) so don't buy anything you don't want just for the package!

The 85 is a bargain at that price. The 20 is pricey, but nice and pretty rare... The others are still reasonable.

Depends what you have / need, but I'd take the 85 for that if I were you. Look up jsherman999's "my favorite lens" thread and that'll sell it to you

Thank you, Wieland, Steve, RioRico and Marc. I thought it was a bargain. I planned to test them, choose what I need (want) and sell the rest. It appears that reselling will not be that easy and recouping my money would be the best I could do. I was really interested in 85, 135 and 200 as I have wide angle covered by my DA*16-50. The reviews of lenses on this forum indicated that 85/2, 135/3.5 and 200/4 were very good lenses.

Thank you, Farfisa. The prices are in CDN$. The 85/2 has a slight damage to the filter thread (still usable), hence the low price.

Then I'd definitely get the 85, and the other longer primes you want are very reasonable too. I'd pick up only what you need, but if the 28/2 is reasonable, it might be good to have a nice fast, sharp prime at the wider end in your collection too.

Good luck with your decision!

Marc, that's interesting; I've got an M 20/4 bought new sometime in the '80's - it never dawned on me there weren't a brazillion of 'em. I used it on my DS2 until the DA 21 came out, then succumbed to the new technology.
