How do I use this durn lens with a K10D?

I've mentioned this lens before, but I have a Kiron 80-200mm/f4.5 Macro 1:4 MC lens. In full manual mode (front switch set to MF; top exposure settings to M) I can manually focus this lens, including macro, and see what I'm focussing on in the viewfinder, BUT when I trip the shutter—NOTHING! It shoots, but there is nothing on the LCD screen. So, experts, what am I doing wrong? Is there a custom setting I'm missing somewhere? Or have I gotten a lens I can't use with the K10D? OR, do I need some kind of adapter to use it with digital? It has NO "A" setting on the aperture ring, by the way.
Your opinions and advice is needed, please. I'd love to see how this lens performs IF I can get it to work!

You have to go into the custom settings and set apperture use to "allow manual apperture ring". I believe its a #2. If you have the k10d instruction manual it tells you how to do it. I cant remember exactly because I did it as soon as I bought the k10d.

That worked! Here's a test shot

Thanks! It's near the end of the custom menus, but option 2 ("Allow") did the trick. Here's a test shot. The lens will be a bit tricky to use because its DOF is finicky, but it will be fun! I find it interesting that shooting this way, you wind up with a JPG file, even when your camera is set to save files as RAW!

Menu > Custom Settings > Using Aperture Ring > Select "Permitted"

Menu > Custom Settings > FI (Focus Indication) with S Lens > Select "Availiable"

You must shoot in Manual mode or otherwise your camera will assume that your lens is wide open.

In manual mode...

1. turn the aperture ring to desired postion
2. press "AE-L" (the camera stops the lens down for a split second and meters shutter speed)
3. After step 2, proceed to pressing the shutter button.
4. If there is a change scene or light levels, go back to step 2.
