You can physically use the DA lenses on older bodies since they share the K mount, but you must weigh the costs to the image.
1. The lens will only be at one aperture setting (wide open)
2. The image will have black corners. How much of the negative is wasted depends on focal length. The wider the focal length, the more black.
So...you will have a picture with dark corners and only at f/3.5-5.6 depending on focal length...not worth it, in my mind.
The lens cannot be "fooled" on a digital body then transferred over.
Find a 28mm M-series lens to use on the film body. Much more useful, plus you can put it on the K10
