um, there's already a 31mm f/1.8 and the difference between f/1.2 and f/1.8 is a stop at best.

though, f/1.2 lenses have a certain bragging rights attached to them.....
1.8 ain't really that fast...

DA* 30 SDM (with a motor at least as fast as DA 17-70 to satisfy posters on this forum).

The 200 Macro, I would buy it without hesitation.

or a 10-1700 F1.2 1:1 Macro LTD Pancake lens.

Creampuff pretty much nailed it and saved me a bunch of typing time, I'd personally swap the 400mm with a 600mm and while I personally wouldn't use the 18-135, it'd make a great kit lens and travel lens especially for folks thinking about heading to Pentax for the first time. The 24 TS would be especially valuable for me and that 24 and 135 especially is long past due.

What I'd like Pentax to make or re-introduce (wishful thinking):

Primes
24mm f/2
24mm f/4 Tilt and Shift
28mm f/2
100mm f/2
135mm f/1.8 or f/2
200mm f/2
200mm f/4 Macro
400mm f/4 or a 500mm f/4.5 or faster

Zooms
24-90mm f/2.8
18-135mm f/4
80-200mm f/2.8
100-400mm f/4

Others
AF extension tubes with full AE readout (25mm, 50mm, 100mm)

A Limited Version of the SMC-M 120mm f2.8 with 9 aperture blades.

This lens would go hand in hand with the rest of the LTD set.

Wow, some awesome replies.
Some guy said a 37mm/1.0

You would have to trade your car in to buy that lens!

lol

I kinda like the idea of remaking a 135mm

You can only hope some guy at Pentax is reading this.
The people have spoken.

Yeah, the people have spoken, and they all say different things! We're not exactly making it easy for Pentax to create a lens lineup that would please everybody

I think a conversation with a person at Pentax would go like this:

Pentax Executive: So what are you looking for from Pentax?
Photographer: Everything.

Not to nitpick, but I believe it's either * or Limited

Apart from that, my vote goes to DA* 11-16 f2.8 but after they bring out some fix that lets you choose between screw-drive and SDM.

Other than that, I don't seem to be missing anything.
(I must be slipping )

A small, light, AF 135mm f/3.5 lens like the Takumar would be great, especially if they could keep the size for when you want a telephoto option and don't want the size and weight of the DA* 50-135mm.

Aside from that, I'm pretty happy from what Pentax has to offer as I don't use extremely long glass...anything above 200mm tends to get too big and cumbersome to comfortably carry around.

They still make the 600/4. You can order it if you've got $7-8K laying around...

For lenses to make, I'd say an ultrasharp 24-70 to update the ancient FA*28-70, and a 300/2.8 w/ matching 1.7x TC...

Two lenses, I would buy,

- 135 1:2.8 Limited, would be really great

- and a macro between 70 and 105 1:2.8 Limited

Greetings from Germany, this is my first post here in this forum, sorry for my bad english.
