Congrat

Your combo is actually 450mm in film day ( 200mm 1.5 x 1.5 crop factor). Once you get used to long lens, you be ok

You are sure that yours has got a DG there? Can you check

Yes it is DG. The tc has following text on it: Pz-AF 1.5x TELEPLUS SHQ KENKO DG.
DG is with a different font and golden letters after the lens release lever.

Tried a bit more with the focusing. Holding still sure helps the focusing. :P
Maybe with k20d it works better, but it is in repairs for a while.
