Pentax FA J 75-300 lens vs. Sigma 70-300 APO DG

I had been strongly considering one of the Sigma 70-300 APO DG lenses for use on my K10D during an upcoming trip with opportunities for wildlife pictures. I came across a lens review by "arbutusq" in which he preferred the Pentax-FA J 75-300 lens to the Sigma. I was wondering if anyone else had experience in comparing these two lenses. Another option under consideration is the Sigma 135-400 APO DG lens. All thoughts/recommendations will be appreciated.

70-300 is superb. you must get it

I have both lenses, and like them for different reasons. The Pentax lens is lighter and seems to autofocus better. The Sigma has the macro capability and I can use it with my teleconvert, and also use it on my K1000 because it has an aperture ring. The only think I didn't like about the Sigma is the way it hunts when trying to focus, especially at 300mm.
