What hood for F series 35mm-135mm ?

Does anybody know what lens hood model Pentax made for the F series 35mm-135mm f3.5-4.5 zoom? It has a 58mm filter thread and I am having a problem in finding a good lens hood. Thanks for your time.

Good question - I just got this lens a few weeks ago and am really enjoying it. I don't have a hood for mine. I was thinking of getting a 58mm rubber collapsible hood.

Anyways, for the answer, Pentax clip-on hood: RH-A60. Info sourced from the link below.

F 35-135/3.5-4.5

Please post if you're able to loacte one easily + cost. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. B&H list the hood as "Accepting Orders." So I ordered one, now wait and see if it actually comes. I tried a wide angle collapsible rubber lense hood and it was just to big. A regular non wide angle one might work better. I love this lens also.

I have to interject that the hood should really be a different hood when you use the lens on the APS-C sensor. When using the hood on a Pentax dSLR, you should use a 200mm 58 diameter hood. The hood should be as close as possible to the actual recorded image.

All the zooms have the same problem, the shade that really do your job for 35 mm focal, don't do for 135 mm.

The best is a good compromise, perhaps a good folding of rubber ones that is for 2 or more focals.
