Mid-November '06 on Friday, ordered the K100D body-only and Pentax 10-17. Ordered the Sigma 18-50 and Sigma 70-300 over that weekend.

Eventually I recommended the Pentax 50-200 to everyone who asked about a good cheap zoom, so I figured I just HAD to get one (hoping for better IQ than the 70-300, which it has, as well as to fill in the 50-70 gap).

Owned a $99-dollar "ugly" Pentax 300 f4 for about 4 days until I returned it for IQ reasons. Sniff.

Recently decided I NEEDED a rectanglur ultrawide to complement the fisheye. Some people complained I used the FE too much. So, I have a 12-24 on order at Adorama that I am guessing will not be available until after rebates. How's that work, anyway (the backorder during rebates)?

I'm done.

However, if someone can assure me that the Sigma 600mm mirror or one of the other 500 mm mirrors actually fits on the K100D (with its projecting pentamirror) I would consider one for fun. I know IQ is bad.

Since you placed your order during rebates, you'd still be eligible. The problem is that rebates need to be Postmarked within 30 days of purchase.

My LBA is very serious but so is my boyfriend when he asks if I've won the lottery after each purchase I can't complain much though, he did buy the k100 and 2 lenses for me

4 lenses in 4 months. I'm going to start saving my pennies for one of the limiteds, I'm thinking wide.

Now who are the lucky buggers with over 26 lenses and more importantly, where do you live?

My LBA is much metter now, since ...

a) I have no money left
b) Pentax lens is hard to fine, especially used

LOL

Over 26... bah! Try many times more than that...

Jim King is, by far, the man to beat in terms of lenses. Go to DPReview.com and check out his profile. Of course, he is a collector with almost 200 lenses...

I am serious when I say he could loan Pentax certain rare lenses for their display...

Cheers,
Marc

I am curious too...

To be honest, I doubt it, since he's now using Canon for his images:

But why on earth would he. I'd assume he'd at least own most of the lenses he's copyrighted the photos of.

traitor.. lol

I agree - quite the irony there... Pentax-K mount information from someone now using Canon!!!

I believe he gets permission to use them, since it's for documentation and not commercial usage.

Is he an Oil Tycoon?$$ I've heard about him over at the other forum but I've never read a post of his or seen a picture.

I'll beat him when I win the lotto, until then it's a slow and steady collection for me.

OH NO! Denial is step one.

I just voted and put in the wrong number. I must be in denial about the last purchase. And, do TC's count? I guess I have thrown the poll off kilter already. Sorry.
