If I count only Pentax lenses - 6
If I add other camera lenses - 14
If I add our telescopes from 400 to 2000 mm - 20

My wife may have one or two more hidden away that missed my inventory.
But, there is only one lens we paid over $299 for - a used Pentax Macro.
Even the 8 inch diameter telescope was only $900 used.

Pentax "K" Compatible Lenses in order of Focal Length

17 mm xxx? Eleanor
18-55 mm f 3-5 Pentax DA Leo (Auto Focus)
19 mm f 3.8 Vivitar Leo
28-80 mm f 3.5 Quanteray Eleanor
40-80 mm f 2.8 Pentax Eleanor
50 mm f 2 Pentax Eleanor
50 mm f 2 Pentax Leo
50 mm f 2.8 Pentax Macro Eleanor
50 mm f 2 Lensbaby Eleanor
50-200 mm f 4-5 Pentax DA Leo (Auto Focus)
70-210 mm f 4 Sigma Leo
70-210 mm f 4 Quanteray Eleanor
500 mm f 8 Quanteray (short, fat, lousy Mirror lens)
500 mm f 8 Quanteray (foot long 1000mm with 2x converter)

I hope the Courier font lines up the columns again.

It is my wife that has LBA. She bought lenses for her K1000 and Ricoh that she now uses with her istD.

Well...that certainly beats my rag tag army of Pentax + Ricoh + Vivitar + Tokina + Sigma + Rokinon + Makinon brand lenses

I guess im with you on the rag tag collection.

Sigma 18-50mm f3.5-5.6
Sigma 28-80mm f3.5-5.6
Pentax DA 50-200mm f4-5.6
Astron 35-70mm f3.5-4.5
Super Ozeck II 75-300mm f5.6 Macro (this one is an interesting push pull zoom.)
Chinon 50mm f1.7
Tamron 17mm f3.5

And then 2 teleconverters,
Tamron 2x teleconverter
Tele Plus 2x Teleconverter

We also have an old Ricoh lens and a really old sigma macro, but they are full of fungus

Then there is the lenses i have for the canon,

Canon EF-S 18-55 f3.5-5.6
Canon EF 75-300 f4-6.3
Sigma DC 17-70 f2.8-what ever it goes too
Canon EF 50mm f1.8
Canon EF 70-200mm f4 L

And a 2x teleconverter for that lot too.

Thats one rag tag bunch haha! I'll never get approval from the Pentax Gallery for my dSLR.

Hey Leo, how are those 2 500mm lenses? I've been interested in the 500mm f8 (refractive) lens for a long time but no one's posted any sample photos.

I had one, a Tamron 500/8 SP (Adaptall) that I used on my A3 and P5 bodies - it was pretty good. I never had a non-mirror to compare it with, but my shots turned out pretty good considering the price then, IMHO. (that was 20 yrs and a house fire ago - lost almost all of my negs and prints, as well as the whole kit....)

oh man...thats heartwrenching. The photo albums are the second thing you save in a house fire. The first being the family.

Just looking at my colection now I've got a
-Sigma 75-300 APO (Manual focus)
-Sigma 28-84 (Manual focus)
-Tokina 70-200 (Manual focus)
-Kitstar 80-200 (Manual focus, and I never use it since it only takes lousy pic's)
-Pentax Pentax-M 50mm F2 (would you believe it's manual focus )
-Pentax 18-55 DA (kit lens)

I also have a Phoenix 500mm f8 in the mail, along with a 2x Teleconverter. It should be in on Wednesday next week
And with a bit of luck I'll have a new Sigma 80-400 APO (manual focus) next week as well.

Then I'd better stay at that for a while, until my wallet recoups a little.
I'll only want a Macro, and a Wide Angle after that...I hope.

The mirror lens is junk. Quanteray should be ashamed of themselves. My wife bought it (not to place blame, it sounded good since it is short for 500mm) but it has very distorted images. I have some mirror telescopes and all have collimation adjustments. The lens is not adjustable and is sorely in need of collimation. Which reminds me, I have a Bauch and Lomb 800mm f10 mirror lens I forgot to list and it is also lousy. I love our mirror based telescopes (SCT, MAK, and NEWT) but would not advise any mirror lenses I have.

The long 500 glass lens is OK, but there are many better lenses.

Please! Talk about your LBA!!! It helps me control my desires to buy every lense in sight! Sorta like talking about drugs: it won't necesserily cure the addict but it will stop someone from getting addicted in the first place.
