ok, remind me again. even though it's m42 it won't work on a pentax coz of the registry distance between the sensor and the glass, correct?

the most important is the register distance, only you want to focus infinity.
the fujinon 55/3.5 macro is less relevant since it is a macro optimalized for close distance.
also there is no bad optic for macros.

LBA=Leica Buying Addiction - the worst sort (because so hideously expensive).

Ladies and Gents, my name is Daniel and I am a lensaholic...

Haven't had a new lens in weeks. I am dying. Must sell something soon so I can buy more. Must finish modding Petri and Pentacon bayonets. Must decide on surgery for long LTM lens. Must not think about stuff I can't afford. Oh, the humanity...

I can agree on this ;-)

Through my door, not only the Fujinon macro and the Soligor, but also the nikkor 180/2.8 ED. I face one dilema: the lens is as new. The Dremel on my hand was turned on and off several times, and the lens is still in its original form. my heart hurts by the though of chopping up the mount... The nikkor 180 should match the K200/2.5 or even better...

That's exactly i am doing now. find another nikkor 180ED. I didnt realize that the lens is as nice condition. huge front glass, green nikkor coating, not a single dust... as a backup action, i may get a D700 too (has to be cheap), in case i cant get another copy of this lens ;-) perhaps still cheaper than Daniel's LBA...

I do believe I have LBA and the final corruption came with DA*300. I suffer from severe buyers remorse even if buy a cheap magazine or pair of shoes, but since buying lenses or cameras has never caused any sleepless nights or ulcers or ANY form of remorse I have decided that LBA is a cure for the personality defect that goes with buyers remorse, at least I spend the money without any second thoughts or guilty feelings.

So there!
