f/1.2 is perfectly fine enough for me...

Wasn't there a movie scene shot w/a f/0.95 or f/1.0 lens? A friend of mine had mentioned it to me once when I 1st got my camera. Can't remember specifics now.

@MShawn63, why is that 3x the normal street price and aren't you like "what are they nutz"; I must be missing something? My 300/2.8 cost me $2250. That's 600/4 pricing!

Hi eveyone, my name is RawheaD, and I'm an addict.

I've tried them all. Big lens. Small lens. Fast lens. Slow lens.

Prime lens. Zoom lens. DIY lens. Pinhole lens(?).

Wide lens. Long lens. Russian lens, German lens, Ukrainian lens, Japanese lens.

My thing, though, really, is tilt-shift lenses.

I can't get enough of them. I do wide, I do long, I even do fisheye

I wanna do Nikon, Canon, and the new Hartblei-Carl Zeiss.

So, yeah, everyone, I'm an addict. I've admitted it. That's the first step, isn't it?

Thanks for listening. Now let's get together for a group hug.

I may have you all beat for pathetic-ness

.

You know you're an addict when you develop a computer script that continually scrapes the craiglist sites in the top 10 metro areas for the keyword "pentax" and sends text messages to your iphone that contains the text of the posting plus a link allowing you to mail the poster immediately if so desired. And scrapes the text of each posting, not just the title pages, because sometimes people just post "35mm for sale" titles.

The you turn it off the following week because.... that's just too crazy, man. Ever try going to sleep when you just were texted that a guy posted a Super Tak 85 1.9 for $100 in Denver?

I was doing good, I really was. I got rid of all my M-glass, I just felt it would be happier with more appreciative owners. But then when I read this week about the pending rise in prices, I threw caution to the wind and ordered a DA*200 and a DA*300. I think this is what doctors call a relapse.

I may have a bit of the LBA too. After my Paypal echeck clears tomorrow I will have an FA* 85mm on the way, and I already have the A* 85mm. I obviously didn't need the FA*, but it was a good deal. Plus they have different optical formulas. Plus, I'll totally be able to keep the one I prefer and sell the other one. I swear I will.

Unless they're both just too good to sell

Jay: You have me beat just having an iPhone. You have a generalized gear addiction.

My affliction is limited to PENTAX gear.

f/0.95? That's silly.

Try f/0.70:
