Adapter Nikkor AI to Pentax K at eBay (good or bad?)

Found this at eBay:

Adapter for Nikkor AI to Pentax K

Anyone tested this? Does it work? How much does it screw up the IQ of the attached lenses? Waste of $$ to buy it?

Best Regards...

I read a review on the "other" forum. IIRC, the conclusion was "not recommended" due to the degration of IQ.

Why don't you try to mount the Nikkor lens on your Pentax body? You may get lucky. This is my favorite equipment for formal portrait:

I'm also using a 300mm AI lens.

I'm on the look out for non-AI Nikkor lenses.

Nikkor F works fine directly - I have tried. But not AI-lenses (what I have read, but I could be wrong). But if the thing is crap, I skip it and stay with K/M42's (and maybe F-mounts if there are no Pentax mount options).

Yup. It's a Nikkor-P 105mm f/2.5.

The filter thread was bent. I straightened it up and attached a ring (a filter with the glass removed) so I wouldn't have to deal with the original thread.

Here is the lens with its original plastic case:
