I bought a Hoya HMC 67, circ pol new for around $65, IIRC. It is multi-coated and works great, IMO.

I also purchased a 49mm Tiffen Milti-coated circ pol which i have already dropped and bent, but it works fine. From what i read in here, the multi-coating is a good thing when it comes to polarizers.

Have never tried a linear polarizer, however.
