Nice, where was that?

We have rain coming on this weekend which will kill those nice blossoms...

That's at Burrard Station. Every day this week, right after work hours, there's a bazillion photographers (seen only one other Pentaxian!) that circle the area like buzzards!!

And I'm one of them!

Nice, I should make a trip downtown this weekend if it's not rained out...

Are those cherry blossoms? Wow how I wish I could join you guys in taking photos of them and the area, they look beautiful. I haven't been to the US in about 10 years now, every time my family goes I have a football/soccer competition.

Looks like rain, according to the weather network.
I'm planning to drop by during lunch time today. But then again, little droplets of rain on the petals might make for some awesome pictures

Would be awesome to have you join us You should see the army of photographers come out. Seriously... an army! Apparently, they're blooming in Japan as well (Which is probably a lot closer to the Philippines than Canada).

The cherry blossoms will only last until about April 20th or so? There's some late blooming trees where I've been taking pics so these might last a bit longer.

Having the DA35 Macro Limited makes these pics that much more fun to take!!

I really don't understand why some members here consider the DA35/2.8 to be suitable only for macro photography... I hardly use my lens for macro photography and I never had any complain about its performance. I also used to own FA31/1.8 Ltd and FA35/2. All of these lenses are excellent in their way but personally I prefer the DA version for my all around lens...
You can view my review of the lens in the second page of the lens reviews.

Here are some photos with DA35:

Celetron, I think your photos help make my decision to buy this lens!!!

I too don't understand why people think it's only macro. It makes a great normal lens (film equivalent) for a certain style of 'portrait'.

And then, when you want to, you can move in as close as you need.

Did I say I love this lens?

My turn to share

The bokeh on this lens is very nice. (It gets a bad rep from the photozone review, but they used a busy, contrasty background for their examples which will have a less favourable bokeh, such as the first 2 examples below.)

2nd part.

This lens seems to be able to make the most of any highlights in peoples eyes.

Me like this lens a lot. Small, light and very sharp. With a K20D.

I have to agree that the Da 35 macro is a good lens. However, I don't think it's the lens' quality that is being exhibited here. I think it's the photographers'.
