what type of metering does the K10...

When using a SMC M lens and the K10 (and K100 for that matter) do you have control over the light metering as far as spot, center, etc?

If not, which is the one that the K series uses with the M lenses?

thanks

I believe it will only work as Center Average and Spot, but you can manually specify focal length which will make the Matrix metering work also.

I don't know about the K100d, but on the K10D you can only use spot and center-weighted with SMC-M lenses. If you leave the metering selector on matrix, it will use center-weighted anyway.

No, only centre weight and average, that camera needs to know more then just the focal length in order for the matrix to work, as the camera wouldn't be able to tell if it f1.4 on a dark day or f4 on a normal day, it has to have the min and max apperture
