Asanuma 90-230mm f/4.5

Just got this and the official pentax converter. Just reached out and snap these from the window. Cloudy blah lighting.

Questions about metering with this... What are the best practices? I am currently guessing up to start then chimp there all in manual. Once there I can switch around okay.

Also have a question on how to get the SR setting screen to come up after every shot when the camera doesn't get the mm information from the lens. Sometimes it comes on when I first put it on but these are zooms...

Thanks.

Embarrassed I am for not grasping that... More embarrassed for the engineers... Better Software, firmware... So inelegant ... A function... Mappable keys...

Didn't mean to whine... tired.

Thanks for the tip... Better is what I have been doing... Shoot fast... Still for the ability to have SR on legacy lenses, which have their own charms, I can shut it off and on again when I do need it...

Thanks Again.

There are quite a few threads on exposure metering with K, M and M42x1 lenses. Check the beginners forum and the lens forum. Basically, with M42 lenses, they stop down as soon as you move the aperture ring, so the camera thinks that the lens is wide open, and will even do Av. Then you chimp.

Beautiful image.

In this post, it is your photography skill and perspective revealing beautiful images. The lens capability is still not clear.

Equivalence on Image Quality

I wrote that a while back.
