Sure will. But see the four reviews on this one under the " Other Pentax Bayonet Zooms " in the lens review section. It's a non-AF, P-K/A-lens. Coated, but not SMC-coated and it's noticeably heaver than the DA18-55 for instance. Macro (at the 80mm end only) covers a 3 1/2 x 5 inch index card at about 10 inches on a digital body.

IQ's not gonna give you braggin' rights but OK for general family snaps. I carried one around on a P50 for a while when versatility was more important than IQ or light weight. For $25-30 it's a fun learning curve lens, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if I missed it.

IMO, an SMC-A 35~70/F4 or one of the mid-range Vivitars would be a better deal in that catagory. The Tamron 28~70/f3.5-4.5 CF Adaptall 2 gives the same coverage with excellent IQ and great camera body versatility if you have a P K/A adapter.

I have the Tammy on sale if anyone is interested, too. Regarding your deal, check what film camera it is and check ebay completed listings. It might actually be worth more than the lens is it's in good condition

If you read the lens reviews you'll recall the fourth reviewer, and I agree. It's not a fine-arts lens. It's a knock-around lens, good for being there, no great loss if it's damaged. It's one of the three lenses that commonly resides on my ZX-M, the others being a Super-Lentar (Tokina) 21/3.8 and the other a Vivitar Series 1 Version 1 70/210/3.5, both of which are rather better. But I can be more careless with the 28-80. Mine has a loose build, or maybe it's just loosened up over the years.

I'm culling out most of my manual zooms. I have my reasons. This, and a Tak-A 70-200/4, and the Vivitar, are the only ones I'm keeping. It's no gem but it's no cull either. If you get it for a reasonable price, fine. If not, it's nothing to weep over.
