Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 Macro

Hi there I have an opportunity to buy this lens for cheap
the problem is that I have 3 Vivitar lenses all of them fits the K1000 great but not the MZ-7 nor the K20D. do you guys have the same problem?
seems like there is a black metal ring (see attached picture) that stopping the lens.
what to do? I heard the Vivitar Series 1 105mm f2.5 Macro Is fantastic....

Thanks!!

For what its worth, the offending flange on your three other Vivitars can be removed, ground off, or clipped. I have not performed the procedure, but I do remember some posts detailing how it is done. Perhaps you could start a new thread asking for advice?

I have been using this lens on my K10d for quite some time, no problem. The flange is a bit smaller and is quite compatible.

A great lens, stunning for Macro work. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I started a thread about it a few months ago. and got some "tutorials" . this is to much hard work for me and you need a special equipment . and all of my Vivis are too old and too slow to be worth doing that.

I think that from now on I will just stick to lenses that don't have that flange
