Anyone used their FA77 with a TC.

I know it's bordering on blasphemy, but TC's work well with sharp fast lenses, as there is image degradation and loss of light, so I argue, what better candidate than the FA77.....

So how does it do as a ~105/2.5 (1.4TC) or as a ~150/3.6 (2TC)....

Thanks.

I did once. Just because I was curious.
I have a 1,7TC though and 77 * 1,7 is around 131mm where I have a better alternative.
If you want, I can try some more examples but it would take a while: it's already Sunday evening here. Working days ahead.

Good idea, I have Kenko Pz/AF 2x TC.
I can't share any images since I haven't take a shot yet. But I have just put both of them on my ZX-L now, and AF works stepwise to my surprise.

I am not looking to see the actual shots, but rather was interested in just opinions form anyone who had tried it. So, don't bother doing a test....I have al old not in so good of a shape takumar 2X TC, and a newer bower AF 2X TC in the mail, just wanted to ask before testing.

I'll try some shots with the old takumar 2X TC and see for myself.

I have the Kenko 1.5 TC (SHQ version). I've tried it with my DA70 and am not impressed - clearly not as good as my M100/2.8. Same with my M135 compared to my M200, or A50/1.7 compared to my DA70. I also saw shots posted on dpreview a couple of years back with the FA77 that were similarly uninspiring. Maybe if you stop down far enough it might get sort of OK, but that hardly seems worth it - the DA50-200 ends up being just as fast and better IQ by then.
