Pentax 50-135 vs Sigma 50-150

I'm currently looking at the pentax da* 50-135 and the Sigma 50-150 lenses deciding which would be the best buy. I've never needed weather sealing, and the shop I buy my lenses at offer 4 years warrenty which also covers water damage. While browsing these forums, it seems like Pentax DA* lenses aren't as good as Pentax claims. People seem to be constantly complaining about loss of SDM autofocus after a while, and especially if it's been standing unused for a while. I've therefore been concidering the Sigma 50-150 as an alternative. It's got HSM and a little more reach on the far end. Also, it apparently works well with the Sigma telekonverters. Does anyone have any experience with this Sigma lens?

Here you go... Jay shot 'em both side by side - though the Sigma was on the Nikon D90.
