What is the word on the street regarding the 16-50mm DA*? Specifically, what will it likely be comparable to? I know it's just speculation but I'm curious.

I expect to be able to shave with images from this lens. The Pentax * zooms are very highly regarded, some suggest that they are as good as the best primes as far as sharpness etc goes, i cannot see why the current crop (DA*) would be any different.

I sure hope so, my razor blade is dull and I'm too lazy to change it.

My expectations are that Pentax will bring them to the Henry's Photogrpahic and Imaging Show so I can take some shots with them if not of them.

Man, I wish they were available already... the wait is too long!

I feel like I'm waiting for my K10 all over again.

I know what you mean... my K10D isn't complete until its a fully weather sealed machine! I mean,one of the main reasons I went Pentax over other brands is the weather sealing... and I haven't been able to benefit from that feature yet!
