Voigtlander 20mm f/3.5 Vs Pentax 21mm Ltd

Just read a good review about the Voigtlander its also a FF lens .

The pentax is fantastic too.

If I will get the Voigtlander and the 77mm I will feel safe for FF future

If I will buy the 21mm ad 70mm I will get smaller lenses and auto focus.

what to do?

link?

at 20mm you probably need AF less - just scale focus. and the 77 is AF as well.
If price were not the issue, i would absolutely go with the first pair, myself (own none of them).

Thanks. That's what I thought

I wish some one here had the Voigtlander .

I can only find information on the lens over at the Nikon forum and they all talking about how it feels like a Pentax.

Finally next month I will have an extra 1K to spend on lenses. I love the DA Ltds but I am still expecting a Pentax FF at some point

Still no word from Stephen Gandy re: the delivery date of the Pentax version of this lens. He sold out the Nikon lenses he had already.

...standing by....

I see... look like both B&H and adorama already excepting orders.

I can see how this lens will be a big deal in the Nikon world..

For us we already have a 21mm pancake , but this lens is perfect for those who shoot film or like me hoping for a pentax FF in the future.

I am going to get this lens as soon as I am getting my pay check

Voigtländer 20/3.5 is great lens but I think that it´s not better than Takumar 20/4.5 (if you don´t need f3.5-4.5), mine is sharp enough also at f4.5.

Have you thought about the Pentax FA 20mm F2.8? It's a very good lens. Sharp, contrasty with good bokeh and very little distortion even when focused closely. And it is a FF lens.

I'm not the only one who loves this lens. Here is the link to our lens database:
Pentax Lens Review Database - 20mm F2.8

NaCl(should be a FA* lens IMHO)H2O

You have one? Cool!

They haven't arrived in North America yet. Stephen Gandy tells me that his shipment is due in the next few weeks.

I am interested also... probably the last lens I will be buying in a while...

have DA70 already, and between 21mm and 20 mm... 20mm is more appealing (especially as that 180mm V makes all more appealing to ge another V lens) ...

at 20mm AF is not terribly important either... so might get it next month...

Is is just me? I find the mf harder with the wider lenses since often the subject tends to be farther away and smaller in the frame...

I love my mf lenses but I do miss focus on the wide ones more often...
