TAMRON AF DI 28-75/2.8 SP XR for PENTAX (k10d)

and what should u pare it with for 15-200 range?
or skip it and pare it with?

im looking for quality, wich is why im leaning towards the 16-45 and then the DA* lences, but money is a factor, and thats why im asking..

Personally ... I would find it pretty hard to spend too much money on any lens pending the release of the DA* lenses.
I would probably opt for something as cheap as possible just to get me by until their release.

Cheers ...

Just sent you a PM.

If I had the money, here is what I would get (available now):

DA12-24/4, Tamron 28-75/2.8, Sigma 70-200/2.8

If money is a factor:
Wide-angle:
DA18-55, DA16-45 or Sigma 17-70

Mid
Tamron 28-75/2.8,

Telephoto:
DA50-200 or Tamron 70-300/4-5.6 Di Macro (cheaper than the DA50-200 I think)

cheers
Kenny

ty for the pm, sent you something more tothink out for me

about the DA* lences, in what price range would a below 20mm to 200-something
range end up with?

since if its not to much, i might just get the K10D+18-55 and wait..
or will the 16-45 be close in the DA* Image Quality so i´d just get a DA* from 45 to 200somethin

all thoughts are appriciated

I don't think that image quality will be all that different .... what will be different are the new DA*'s will utilize all features of the K10D like Supersonic focus and weather seals.

Here is an excerpt from the press release:

Pentax has posted some very brief information about three new digital-only DA* (star) lenses which utilize built-in Supersonic motors for focusing and are likely to be environmentally sealed to match the recently announced K10D. The lenses are the DA* 16-50 mm F2.8 ED AL [IF], DA* 50-135 mm F2.8 ED [IF] and the DA* 60-250 mm F4 ED [IF]. On a digital SLR with a 1.5x FOV crop (such as the K10D) these lenses will provide an equivalent field-of-view of 24 - 75 mm, 75 - 202.5 mm and 90 - 375 mm. According to available information these lenses should be available in March 2007.

BTW ... I don't think anyone has info on what the new lenses will cost.

Cheers ...

Hej moreempty

Get the kit lens while you wait for the new lenses, but check if there is any older lenses around. I was about to buy the DA50-200 while waiting for the new DA lenses when I found a F 70-210 for $100. A great sharp lens, maybe a bit heavy but for that price not a problem.
You can also get a 50mm lenses for a low price. I use my old M50mm 1,7 a fair bit.

Cheers

Eddie
