Wheatfield. What is that monster on the left? My friends in psychology would say you are compensating. I'd like to see some of your efforts with that beast. Here’s my collection of lens porn. It’s more like a museum of old Pentax glass but I like them. Please ignore the two zooms – I do. . Most of my stuff is here save the M 400/5.6. This is the most recent addition and most used lens at the moment. The K 200 /2.5, DA 70/2.4, and A 100/2.8 macro follow in terms of most used.

Tom G, Is the DA 70 limited a FF lens for your SLR?.....beautiful MF lenses, every one of these shots posted here are stunning....what beatiful piece whether be new or old...I see a lot of similarities with Pentax and Porsches, in their history, performance and precision.

The big white one (slightly green actually) is an A 600/5.6.
I'm a lens junkie, I can't help myself. Whether this is compensating or not, I can't say. Some people collect stamps, some coins.
This is an old picture (I've added a few pieces since) and doesn't include my 6x7 and 4x5 equipment
I'll see if I can dig up a couple of shots from it.

It is my understanding the DA 70/2.4 can be used successfully on an old SLR but I have never tried it on my old SLR cameras.

Falconeye did a study on the DA series in this regard.

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/31629-da-lens-...ts-thread.html

It is still my only AF lens and I am very pleased with it. The build quality of the Limited series be it FA or DA is very high. They shout quality and have the same "feel" as the older K, M and A series glass. I can't speak to the Porsche analogy but I would like to check out your theory.

I don't have a shot of my primes, but I don't have a bad collection, nothing like Wheatfield's, Zewrack,s or distudio's but I've only been collecting them for 3 years. The other thing I have to say is that they all get a fair amount of use except the two newest additions, the Ricoh 105 macro and the Sigma 180 macro.
Zenitar 16mm F2.8 Fisheye;
Pentax FA 20mm F2.8;
Sigma 24mm F1.4;
Pentax FA 43mm F1.8 ltd;
Pentax SMC 50mm F1.2;
Pentax FA 77mm F1.9 ltd;
Tamron 90mm F2.8 macro;
Ricoh 105mm F2.8 Macro;
Pentax SMC 135mm F2.5;
Sigma 180mm F3.5 macro;
Pentax SMC 300mm F4.0.

I'm still lusting after a good 35mm, either the Pentax DA 35, or the FA 35 or the A35 F2.0. I'd also like the DA * 200, but unfortunately it's a bit steep for my very shallow pockets.

jsherman, the one I covet in your list is the sigma 70mm macro, have you posted any samples some where ?
Yes, I post shots from the Sigma 70 --> Here.

Do you have a gallery or thread here with shots from that FA 135? I saw some shots on dpreview a couple months ago from that lens that blew me away, but can't find them now.

Maybe we should trade, your 135 for my Sigma 70?

Thank you for the gallery. I got the 135 last week, and only did some testing. It is the F 135, which has the same optics as the FA 135.

Even though the trade would be in my benefit from a price stand point, I cannot possibly part with it

I sold off my M-glass to those who would hopefully make better use of them. But the bag looked lonely so I've added to it when interesting things came along. Usually, interesting means prime for me, and I hate passing up a bargain (real or perceived.) There may be a DA21 LTD in the works, but I don't want to jinx it.

That 600/5.6 must be a lot of fun. Your shot of the radio controlled plane reminds me of an story a friend told me once. Tom, he said. There are only two kinds of remote controlled planes. Those that have already crashed and those that are going to. I guess he was right.

No wonder can't find FA200 macro in Canada. You might hold the one of the xx?

This is a bit of a cheat, I think there are a couple of zooms in there.
