Well, the 28-75 does kind of the same jobs as a 35-105, which was a fairly popular range back in the day, too: that was what I favored when it came to a 'standard zoom' I wouldn't mind if Pentax came up with something for that job. A Tammie ought to do.

Weird policy, given that the competitors does have 28-75mm range lenses for APS-C, and also 3rd-party lenses (Tamron/Sigma etc') have this too, also for Pentax.
Others make these only because they started making them for film, and never discontinued theirs as Pentax did.

Tamron XR 28-75mm f/2,8 P/AF at Digital Wonder World Digitalwonderworld

The one talking here is this one PentaxForums.com Third-Party Pentax Lens Review Database - Macro SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 XR Di LD correct ?

What is the diference between them ?

Edit to add: The second one is also good for FF bodies ?

Does your lens focus sufficiently fast when used in daylight? If so, then the problem is related to the camera AF module and/or algorithms rather than the AF motor or the lens focusing mechanism. Solution: K-7.

If the lens is slow in daylight, then you may want to look into the new Sigma 24-70/2.8 HSM, though IMHO paying $900 for a Sigma lens equivalent to 35-105 isn't a sensible purchase.

The new sigma 24-70/2.8 HSM is apparently better than the equivalent canon L and equal to the nikon. Its also a lot cheaper than their equivalent, but has an 82mm filter and weighs a ton. (but so do canikon) I would probably trust sigma HSM over pentax SDM at the moment though.
Cheers

Well, I guess it wouldn't be *quite* as big and expensive as a 24-85/2.8, but still, I'm guessing $1500-$2000 and around 3 lbs.
