I'm sure mine's glued down, or at least the fit is very tight.

im able to lift the rubber ring barely 1mm nothing more and i cannot see any mark undernith neither... so i thing you shoud speek to pentax service guys...

It is all alright. You are just afraid to play with your babies.
The rubber rings are not glued ( both of them) and there is tape underneath both of them.
But I am guessing it is a special tape that covers the openings so that they are weather protected.
I will confirm that with Pentax and post as soon as I know.

I have technical background and my nature just calls to see that's under the surface.

I looked under mine and there is the same piece of tape.
