I was wondering why I can't get this lens to work on my K100d, It works fine on my K20d but when I put it on the K100 It won't take a photo. Push the button and nothing happens, It's like there isn't a lens on the camera.

Have you tried the usual stuff, cleaning contacts etc.?
That sounds weird.

Is the aperture selector on the lens body set to "A"? It won't take a shot if is isn't set to "A" and the body is set to not shoot in this situation.

Should work. I was taking some pics with my non-DG version last weekend. Double check to make sure the lens has locked firmly into place. If it hasn't your contacts will not line up correctly.

Glad everything worked out.

I've seen this query a lot since I've been here.

A lot of people not using old manual lens and setting the Aperture ring allowed custom setting.

Hit that manual glass people, it's all good. Also, there seems to be a lot on sale since the K7 was announced.

Manual glass + green button is your friend!
