K24/2.8

is it worth to get a K24/2.8 from KEH for $189?

I already have 18-55 II, FA 50/1.4.

I want to play with a manual wide angle lens. the 24/2.8 is equal to 35mm on my K200D, I think it is a good focus length for common use.

DA21 is > $400

I haven't used the K24/2.8 but I do recommend the focal length. I like my Sigma Superwide II 24mm f2.8, probably not as flare resistant though quite sharp. It has the A position on the aperture ring for extra convenience. When I used film, my widest lens was 35mm, so 24mm on APS-C seems wide to me. The maximum aperture won't make anyone drool but f2.0 is really not required for a wide angle lens.

Sorry, can't tell you if that is a good price or not. However, I do have a K24/2.8.

On film, it was one of my favorite lenses. On digital, I don't use it so much because the FOV is not so interesting anymore.

Anyways, here are some samples:

A few snapshots with K-m body (FOV equivalent 37mm)

I bought my K24/2.8 from KEH in the spring of 2004. On film it was fantastic. I still like to use it on my K200D because of it being a moderate wide angle but I too find the FOV on the crop factor sensor to be a little ho-hum. If you really liked the 35mm focal length on 35mm film cameras then the K24 will serve nicely as your normal lens.

I think the quoted price is very good if it's an EX condition lens.
