K 24/2.8

K24/2.8

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

is it worth to get a K24/2.8 from KEH for $189?

I already have 18-55 II, FA 50/1.4.

I want to play with a manual wide angle lens. the 24/2.8 is equal to 35mm on my K200D, I think it is a good focus length for common use.

DA21 is > $400

I was lucky to won the bidding on eBay for $180 couple months ago, it's a nice little lens.
If it's a good copy then I would say give it a try...
Here are some pics I took with K-m:

and the lens itself:

You don't say the KEH condition, but the price is about right for an EXC condition K24/2.8.

Looks pretty nice - about as close to mint as they can be, including caps ($20 vlaue right there).

I paid $175 for a similar lens recently on ebay (less risk at KEH) w/o correct front cap.

I think this is a very sharp, nice lens for black and white film work. Metering on K10D is easy once you learn how, but compensation tends to vary by manual each lens formula.

Your value is correct - not a "deal" but not overpriced, either.
