Considering the DA*55 F1.4 for my "people shots" work

To consider other options, here are some grab shots from a couple of days ago. All with the smc Pentax 50 f/1.2. It was a nasty dark day so these are all at ISO 400. Even then I "pushed" the developing by underexposing a little in capture. I often find this better than moving to ISO800. Unfortunately aperture went unrecorded.

This is a great lens for low light. I would love to get the chance to compare alongside the DA*55. Two things I know for sure: this lens looks nicer and none are better built.

Hope you folks don't mind me bumping this thread, but I just got the DA*55 F1.4 today.

Wow, it's a pretty awesome lens... not to mention sexy

Will have to write up a review and post pics once I put this lens through the paces. But overall, the first impressions are very good. Not a cheap lens, but I do feel you get what you pay for.
