Zoom Lens Rec for Indoor

Currently hold a k100, 77limited 1.8, FA 50 2.0, kit zoom.

I have been mostly shooting my indoor shots (basketball, dance, volleyball) with my 77 limited, but I am finding that I need a zoom.

I'm looking for recommendations. It looks like what is in my price range would be a zoom with a 2.8, and I think running at 1600 would do the trick?

Recommendations on those that have any zoom lenses and have shot indoor sports with no flash in typical low-light conditions.

Thanks.

DA* 50-135mm F2.8. I guess everyone would recommend this lens.

If you've sometimes felt the 77mm was too long, the the 50-135mm is a good option. Otherwise I'd also recommend the 70-200mm f/2.8 options from either Sigma or Tamron. I've got the Tamron, and it focuses faster than my DA*50-135 and locks focus better. 70mm can be a bit long of you're courtside though - heck, so can 50mm when the action comes right up to you. The DA* 60-250 range would be awesome, but the loss of a stop might not be accptable for action in low light - indeed, I think you will want an f/2.8 lens (and will still find it awfully dark at times ).
