I belive... no. I own one but I havent used it much and I dont have it accessible now but it has a built in hood that would mess with filters and I dont think it accepts any.

Think I'm not very far from pulling the ttrigger ....

Only think I really don't like is the "problem" about the UV filter ! All my lens have good UV filters for protection.

Pull the trigger. It's a great little lens. The "long" end is almost a nice, neutral wide.

Don't worry about the filter - you just can't put front filters on fisheye lenses because of the field of view. The front element has a special hard coating, and I haven't had any problems - just remember to cap it when not in use. It's a wonderful little lens that I wouldn't want to be without!

i know exactly how you feel.. and to be honest, your concerns are valid, because to get the most effect out of this lens, you really have to get really close to the action... meaning very very close to the lens. So yes, I've touched the lens once and realized how close you have to get, and now i am in the habit of keeping BOTH eyes opened when using this lens.


On the other hand, I would NOT pass on this lens because of its inability to hold a protection filter. It is a very creative lens, and I just love when the opportunity comes to use it. Unfortunately it is a love-or-hate result, and the editor of the magazine I shoot for, HATE IT!

Hey, it is kinda of original to me, but i am sure it is not original at all... feel free to use the concept and improve on it. I've done a few other shots on the same scene, but that day with the fisheye, I had no tripod.


This lens is not really that sharp wide open, so I want to try few shots again with a tripod, to get the max out of it.

Agree with the above.
This lens produces brilliantly contrasted and colourful images.
Used in the right instances, it brings a unique and creative perspective to scenes that are very visually pleasing.
