Ah, cool! So that one IS AF. Thought it was MF. Like I said. Sometimes it's hard to tell what's what, because there are sooooo many older Pentax lenses. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yeah, the F/FA 50/1.7 is a real steal. I have the FA 50/1.4—got it here on the marketplace for $150 shipped—and it's also excellent.

welcome!

I'm really happy in the Pentax system. The value for money is astounding- the DA* lenses are just lovely.

I pulled the trigger on the DA* 55, because of my really positive experience with the 16-50, and the 50-135. Hopefully it shows up today!

I have a pretty full system in Pentax, for about the same money it would have cost me to buy a 5DII and one L lens.

Well it's official. Looking for a deal on the 50mm 1.4 or the 50mm 1.7.

Thanks!

Nice lens you're using there... MF though, right?

Thanks Sean. Looking forward to discovering and learning everything about the Pentax world. Hopefully will be in it for a while to come.

Nice lenses you got there! That 50-135 will be the next one I'm looking at, when a little loot comes my way.

I tell ya. If the timing and money is right, the one I'm really wanting is the 40mm Limited Edition Pancake. I love that thing. Don't really see those used though.

Will probably end up with the 1.7 or 4. Thanks!

They actually come up quite often in the marketplace. Just keep an eye peeled.

Yep, manual focus and manual aperture and doesn't focus to infinity (it's a M42), but it's still a bloody good lens.

Oh yeah, I can imagine. I wish I could get the hang of manual. I've noticed so many awesome Pentax mount MF lenses.

You won't get the hang of it until you actually get and start practicing... no reason to assume you wouldn't "get it" soon enough!
