More with less

Hi

I have a K20D now with Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5 and i'm very happy with it. I'm in a mood for a little more zooming capacity and was looking for a DA* 50-135 or a Sigma 70-200 f2.8....or/and here comes my question...Any others lens you suggest me that could suit me well?

*I want it to be really sharp
*in the f2.8 range or so
*use it for portrait use mainly and sports events.
*the main reason for a third chose, price...to be lower than others lens

Thanks

The Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 is cheaper than either of these two options and is supposedly very sharp, however it lacks weather sealing and a silent focusing motor
