Okay, so I just returned from a 9-day National Park trip through Utah and Colorado. I have to say, it started out disastrously, from a photographic standpoint. We got to Monument Valley for sunset, and I took several shots on a brand new 8 GB card. The next morning, while photographing sunrise, the card stopped reading the images. I had to reformat. Strike two was later that day, when I couldn't figure out why my K10D and DA 12-24 was massively overexposing. That night, in the tent, I realized why. When I took the 12-24 off of the camera, the aperture spring came out. The camera was overexposing because the lens had no spring the camera could use to control aperture. So, my question is: where is the best place to take/send the lens to get fixed, and does anyone have any idea what it might cost?
Thanks,
Todd
